Frequently Asked Questions – NeuroDoWo 2026

Who can participate?

The NeuroDoWo is organized by and for PhD students. We warmly welcome all PhD, MD, and Master's students (in their final phase) working in any field of neuroscience to join us!

Where can I find the programme?

To allow as many students as possible to present their work, we finalize the programme with all talks and poster presentations after the registration deadline. The preliminary programme is available under the Programme section of this website. Stay tuned for updates!

Do I have to present a poster or talk, or can I attend just to listen?

A core feature of the NeuroDoWo is the opportunity to share your research, results, and ideas with peers who share similar interests. You can choose between a poster or a talk. If you want to giva a short teaser for your poster presentation, we recommend a flash talk (<5min) before the poster scession.

How long should the talks be?

Each talk is allocated ~20 minutes for the presentation, followed by 5 minutes of discussion and Q&A.

In which language will the conference be held?

The official conference language is English.

What is the maximum poster size?

Posters must not exceed DIN A0 and should be oriented vertically (portrait format) to fit the boards comfortably.

Do I have to register?

Yes — registration is required for all participants. Details, including the registration form and deadlines, are available on this website.

What is the registration fee?

The fee depends on whether you opt for accommodation:

  • €70 – Registration fee: includes workshops, social events and refreshments
  • €100 – Registration fee + Accommodation: includes shared hostel accommodation with breakfast (4 nights)

Where do participants stay?

For those who select the accommodation option, we arrange shared rooms in a central hostel (with breakfast included at no extra cost). You do not need to book it yourself.

Do I have to submit an abstract for a talk or poster?

Yes — during registration, you will be asked to submit an abstract (max. 300 words) for your presentation (poster or talk). This is required for inclusion in the programme book and scheduling.
