About the Neurobiology Doctoral Students Workshop

The NeuroDoWo has been organized by doctoral candidates for over 30 years under the patronage of the German Zoological Society (Deutsche Zoologische Gesellschaft, DZG) and German Neuroscience Society (Neurowissenschaftliche Gesellschaft e.V.). Our aim is to reach early career scientists with a diverse neuroscientific background, from Germany and abroad. The conference promotes communication across disciplines and to allow young scientists to gain experience in presenting and discussing their research in a talk or with a scientific poster. The NeuroDoWo 2025 will take place from 3rd - 7th June 2025 in Munich

DEADLINE EXTENDED!!!!

We do have a couple slots left, so we decided to extend the Deadline!!

Check out our Workshops and Speakers, this conference is a unique opportunity to connect with fellow PhDs present your work. Thanks to our supporters we can offer 4 days of accommodation, Breakfast/Lunch, two conference dinners and a conference Party for only 100€ registration fee!!

Register until 4th of May!!!

Keynote Lecture Friday

On Friday Prof. Dr. Anna Schroeder will tell us about her discoveries regarding neural circuit mechanisms of internal state driven behavioral flexibility!
Anna Schroeders lab studies how emotions, motivations and needs are processed in the subthalamic circuits of the mysterious zona incerta, an emerging hub that regulates an impressive range of behaviors.

Keynote Lecture Thursday

On Thursday Prof. Dr. Wiktor Młynarski will give a Keynote lecture on - Building a theory of sensory coding for active behavior - showing the importance of computational aspects within neuroscience! By confronting theories with reality in close collaborations with experimental groups, Prof. Młynarski aims towards identifying general rules which govern information processing in biological systems.

Keynote Lecture Wednesday

For our Wednesday Keynote lecture we are delighted to have Prof. Dr. Magdalena Götz talking about novel mechanisms of neurogenesis and neural repair!

Make sure to join for this talk as Prof. Götz is one of the leading experts within the field of Molecular & Developmental Neuroscience!
